RYC #3 is conducted as part of a larger Super Regional Youth Circuit Tournament. SYC events are the next step for young fencers ready to test their skills in a more competitive environment.  These events are more structured and more closely resemble NAC competitions.   In these events, national points are awarded for placement in the top 40% of the field to a maximum of 32nd place.

Tournament Information

The Junior Pacific Coast Championships and Super Youth Circuit will be held in Parkside Hall in the San José Convention Center, March 24–26, 2006.

The Under 19 competitions are a qualifier for Summer National Championships and are open only to members of the Divisions within the Pacific Coast Section (the states of California, Hawaii and Nevada). All other competitions are open to any member of the USFA or to fencers with a current FIE License.

The entry form can be filled in from Adobe Reader and printed.

Please check the confirmed entries list after you send in your entry. If you do not see your entry listed, please contact us immediately at secretary@pcsfencing.com. Do not wait until the last day for the postmarks to contact us about a lost entry.

The division of membership and ratings for all fencers will be verified with the USFA as of March 10, 2005. If there is any discrepancy between what the fencer provides on the entry form and what the USFA has recorded, we will contact you at the email address and/or telephone number on the entry form. That allows two weeks for the fencer to resolve discrepancies with the USFA. All ratings used in the competition will be those from the USFA roster as of March 21, 2006.

Competitions on Friday, March 24 are Cadet Epée, Cadet Foil and Youth 14 Sabre. Competitions on Saturday, March 25 are: Youth 14 Foil, and Youth 10 Foil; Under 19 Epée and Youth 12 Epée; Cadet Sabre and Youth 12 Sabre. Competitions on Sunday, March 26 are Under 19 Foil and Youth 12 Foil; Youth 14 Epée and Youth 10 Epée; Under 19 Sabre, and Youth 10 Sabre. Times for close of registration will be posted on the website by March 1, 2006.

A FAQ is available at www.pcsfencing.com/junior/JRPCC2006/faq06.htm . This FAQ provides information about the organization of the tournament and requirements for fencers entering multiple competitions on one day. We encourage you to read the FAQ carefully.
